Joining the plethora of eateries and cafes in Setia Kenangan 2, Kiulap, The Coffee Habit & The Healthy Habit differentiated themselves from the others by offering a place where people can both enjoy good coffee and healthy food – perfect for the coffee enthusiasts and the health conscious or those looking to have a start at healthy eating/living.
Coffee: I’ve dropped by The Coffee Habit / The Healthy Habit twice now and both times, I ordered their pourover. Both times I savoured every drop. So so good. According to their Instagram, their pourover options include Isacio Albir Nicaragua and Konga Yirgacheffe Ethiopia. The former is for those who prefer coffee with notes of tropical flavours of honey, cherry, and apricot and a sweet finish whilst the latter is for those looking for clean, tart acidity with intense berry, floral and lemon zest flavours.
Food: I gave their smoothie bowl ($5) a try and their best-selling almond crusted salmon with sweet potato mash ($9). You can choose three toppings for the smoothie bowl – I chose granola, chia seeds and almonds. Since I’m no food critic, let me just say both are really really good.
My (coffee) drinking buddy, also the one who gave birth to me aka my mom, gave their Chicken Pesto Panini and Tuna Melt a try. She loves the bread that they used. Texture and taste was good.
Service: Cashiers and servers are friendly and generous with smiles. Had to wait a while for our Cafe Latte to arrive but it could be because the cashier who is also the barista had to juggle a few tasks. Perhaps also because we were there quite early (came in just few minutes after they opened).
This is a place I don’t mind coming over again and again.
